Russell 2000 nearing all-time high may signal altcoin rally

An analysis suggests that as the U.S. small-cap Russell 2000 index approaches a new all-time high, XRP and other altcoins could also experience a rally. The Crypto Basic reported, citing crypto analyst Bird, that a breakout for the index has historically led to capital inflows into the cryptocurrency market and a rise in altcoins. This trend often coincides with a weakening of Bitcoin's market dominance and growing expectations for regulatory clarity. According to the analyst, a rising Russell 2000 prompts investors to move capital into higher-risk assets, which includes the crypto market. The report noted that similar phenomena occurred in November 2021 and November 2024.
