U.S. and Iranian delegations are set to begin direct negotiations in Islamabad, Pakistan, on April 11, aimed at reaching a permanent ceasefire agreement, Turkey's Anadolu Agency reported, citing a Pakistani government source. The talks, mediated by Pakistan, will take place at a heavily guarded military facility.
According to the source, the negotiations have no fixed schedule and will include both direct and indirect contact between the delegations, who will also hold separate meetings with Pakistani officials. While the discussions could extend over several days due to the complexity of the agenda, direct face-to-face meetings are not expected to exceed two to three days for security reasons, the source added.
