Securitize appoints former SEC director as president ahead of IPO

Security token platform Securitize has appointed former U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Director Brett Redfearn as its new president ahead of its initial public offering (IPO), CoinDesk reported. Redfearn, who will also join the company's board, previously served as the head of capital markets at Coinbase, where he worked to expand institutional investment in cryptocurrency. Prior to his time at the SEC, he worked at JPMorgan.
