Kraken parent Payward to acquire Bitnomial for $550M

Kraken's parent company, Payward, is acquiring Bitnomial, a Chicago-based derivatives exchange and clearinghouse, for $550 million. According to CoinDesk, Bitnomial was valued at $20 billion. The acquisition is expected to significantly shorten the regulatory preparation time Payward needs for its U.S. market expansion.
