Iranian cargo ship defies US blockade in Strait of Hormuz

Iran announced early today that an Iranian-flagged cargo ship is passing through the Strait of Hormuz, defying a U.S. military blockade. The vessel departed from Shahid Rajaee Port near Bandar Abbas in southern Iran and is en route to Kandla Port in India. Additionally, ship tracking data released by Iran shows that a total of three vessels have transited the strait in the past 12 hours. One oil tanker has exited the Persian Gulf, while two other ships have entered.
