Iran's IRGC says it struck US airbase in retaliation

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on May 28 that it had struck a U.S. airbase after American forces conducted an airstrike on the outskirts of Bandar Abbas earlier the same day, Xinhua News Agency reported. The IRGC stated that its attack was a direct response to the U.S. strike near the Abbas Port airport. The corps warned it would launch a "more decisive response" to any further American aggression and that "Washington must take responsibility for the consequences."
