66.7% of addresses in Polymarket World Cup winner market posted losses

About 130,000 of the 194,000 addresses that participated in Polymarket’s World Cup winner prediction market posted losses, accounting for 66.7% of all participants, according to blockchain analyst defioasis. Most lost under $100, but 43 addresses each recorded losses of more than $100,000, bringing total losses to over $15 million. Meanwhile, total profit came to around $22 million, with 54 addresses each posting gains of more than $100,000. Defioasis said profits were also concentrated among a small number of addresses.
