White House crypto czar says CLARITY Act passage is near, Democrats likely to agree

Patrick Witt, executive director of the White House crypto council, said Democrats had pursued a strategy of avoiding any deal in advance during CLARITY Act negotiations, but often reach an agreement at the last moment. Witt said he believes the bill is very close to passing and added bipartisan support for the legislation is expanding.
