Verus Ethereum bridge hit by $7.5M exploit

More than $7.5 million in assets was stolen from Verus' Ethereum cross-chain bridge in an exploit, Onchain Lens reported. The hacker drained the funds by forging cross-chain proofs and withdrawing reserve assets on Ethereum that had not been unlocked on the Verus chain. The Verus bridge was previously hit by an $11.58 million hack in May.
