Crypto holder losses from wrench attacks top $124.1M this year

Blockchain security firm CertiK said losses from wrench attacks, or physical violence and extortion targeting cryptocurrency holders, reached $124.1 million this year. That was up 12-fold from $10.5 million a year earlier, while the number of cases rose 33.3% to 52 from 39. CertiK said 75% of all wrench attack incidents occurred in Europe, with France recording the most cases.
