July 30, 2026, 5:15 PM
Telegram CEO Pavel Durov said on his channel that Russia had designated him a terrorist after he refused demands for mass surveillance and censorship of Telegram. Durov also criticized what he described as a ban under Russian law on posting information online, adding that Russian officials appeared to be confused about who can block whom on the internet. CoinNess previously reported that Russia had issued an arrest warrant for Durov on allegations of tolerating and supporting terrorism.
