BNB Chain pursues legal action over ex-employee’s unauthorized token issuance

BNB Chain said it is pursuing legal action over an unauthorized token issuance by a former employee. In a post on X, BNB Chain said the employee had created a wallet address and token while producing a video tutorial in the past, then accessed the wallet’s seed phrase without authorization after leaving the company to generate a new private key. The address was later used to issue a new memecoin, according to BNB Chain. BNB Chain added the token was neither created, approved, promoted, nor supported by the company and has no affiliation with it. The company said it is working with relevant authorities on the legal response.
