A China-led international standard for Blockchain as a Service (BaaS) has been adopted as a new project by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), China Central Television reported. Germany, the UK, Ireland, Japan, Portugal, and Uganda are set to participate in establishing the standard. The project will define technical requirements in three areas: infrastructure and network construction and operation, service management and smart contracts, and data interoperability and security. Its goal is to support the development of global BaaS platforms, encourage enterprise adoption, and improve interoperability.
