Bitget CEO says BTC rebound is unsustainable, waits to buy more near $50K

Gracy Chen, CEO of crypto exchange Bitget, said in an interview with Cointelegraph that Bitcoin’s recent gains are not sustainable and that Chen plans to buy more if BTC falls to around $50,000 in the second half of this year or early next year.
Chen added that BTC’s recovery of the $79,000 level does not necessarily mean the bear market is over. Chen also said, "I am just a CEO of an exchange," and "not particularly good at price analysis." Chen said most of the personal portfolio is allocated to Bitcoin and the S&P 500, while altcoins such as Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL) account for under 1%. Chen added a favorable view on Hyperliquid (HYPE), while stressing a dislike of memecoins and arguing that too many investors have lost money and that a memecoin frenzy like the previous one will not return.
