Robinhood wins FCA approval for UK crypto services

Robinhood has received Financial Conduct Authority approval to offer cryptocurrency services in the UK, CoinDesk reported. Robinhood’s UK unit was added to the FCA’s register of cryptoasset firms as of July 31 and was recognized as meeting anti-money laundering requirements through its existing FCA registration. The registration regime for crypto companies has been in place since 2020, and more than 50 firms have now been approved, including Ripple, Kraken, BlackRock and BNY.
