BNB Chain pursues upgrade to double BSC transaction throughput

BNB Chain is pursuing the BEP-675 upgrade to roughly double transaction throughput on BNB Smart Chain, U.Today reported. The upgrade would improve the block production process by streamlining the current procedure in which block builders and validators execute the same block twice, allowing more transactions to be processed per block. In an internal testnet, throughput rose 88% to 2,324 transactions per second from 1,237, while block time and the gas limit remained unchanged.
