BlackRock’s IEFA ETF raises Metaplanet stake to $5.18M

BlackRock’s iShares Core MSCI EAFE ETF (IEFA) has increased its stake in Metaplanet, a Japan-listed company pursuing a Bitcoin strategy, to 3.73 million shares, according to BitcoinTreasuries.net. The stake is valued at about $5.18 million. Metaplanet currently holds 43,000 BTC, worth $2.8 billion, making it the world’s third-largest corporate BTC holder among listed companies. IEFA tracks an index of large-, mid- and small-cap stocks in developed markets excluding the U.S. and Canada.
