Israel’s largest bank, Bank Leumi, said it plans to launch cryptocurrency trading services for customers in 2027 through a partnership with Galaxy Digital (GLXY), making it the first local bank to offer such a service.
Leumi and its mobile banking service Pepper customers will be able to buy, hold and sell selected cryptocurrencies, including BTC, ETH and SOL, through the Leumi Trade app. The bank said it plans to use GalaxyOne Institutional as its trading infrastructure and adopt Galaxy’s custody infrastructure, formerly GK8, for its crypto setup.
