A malware campaign is spreading Lumma Stealer through files disguised as pirated copies of the film The Odyssey, targeting cryptocurrency wallets and other sensitive user data, Decrypt reported, citing cybersecurity firm Bitdefender.
Attackers are distributing executable files made to look like HD WEBRip or Blu-ray video files, and Windows devices are infected once users run them. Bitdefender warned Lumma Stealer can steal cryptocurrency wallets, browser passwords, payment information and authentication cookies. The firm added that if authentication cookies are compromised, even accounts protected by multi-factor authentication could be affected.
