Payward joins Anthropic’s Project Glasswing to detect security flaws

August 17, 2026, 10:43 PM
Payward, the parent company of crypto exchange Kraken, has joined Anthropic’s cybersecurity program Project Glasswing to strengthen security using Claude Mitosis 5. Payward plans to use Mitosis 5 to scan its systems for vulnerabilities, with its security team reviewing and patching any flaws found. Vulnerabilities identified in third-party open-source software will also be shared with the relevant project developers. Payward is known as the first crypto company in Project Glasswing to secure access to Mitosis 5. Participating organizations in Glasswing, which launched in April, have so far identified thousands of high-risk and critical vulnerabilities, while Mozilla previously said Mitosis had detected 271 vulnerabilities in Firefox.
