Chainalysis joins exchanges, law enforcement to track CSAM network

Blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis worked with crypto companies including Binance and Coinbase, as well as global law enforcement agencies, on Operation Lighthouse to track networks distributing child sexual abuse material, CoinDesk reported. The investigative team analyzed more than 29,000 cryptocurrency addresses and digital identifiers, along with more than 100 related forums and hubs, securing more than 14,000 leads for further investigation. Suspects were identified across 125 countries. Europol, the Australian Federal Police, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and the UK’s National Crime Agency also took part in the operation.
