Harmony proposes shutting mainnet and migrating ONE to Ethereum

Harmony has proposed ending operations of its mainnet and migrating its ONE token to Ethereum, The Block reported. The project cited threats from hackers and AI agents as the backdrop to the move. Harmony suffered an exploit last month in which four billion ONE were minted without authorization. Earlier, in 2022, an attack on Harmony’s Horizon cross-chain bridge caused about $100 million in losses.
