DigitalX users face token withdrawal issues as Silicon Network winds down
September 07, 2026, 7:56 AM
Some users are facing difficulties recovering coins as DigitalX, the cryptocurrency exchange affiliated with Mirae Asset Group, exits its blockchain business, Seoul Economic Daily reported.
Silicon Network, an Ethereum layer-two blockchain developed by Hydrow, a joint venture between DigitalX, formerly Korbit, and blockchain technology firm Ozys, will fully shut down on Dec. 31. Users have until year-end to move all assets stored on Silicon Network to external wallets after the service termination notice was posted today. The issue is that withdrawals from the Orbit Chain (ORC) staking deposit service operating on Silicon Network are blocked. Users claim the problem had persisted long before the decision to shut down Silicon Network. In related online communities, complaints have been raised since last year that staked ORC could not be recovered despite dozens of inquiries and no response. Based on the validator-by-validator staking amounts shown on the site, around 94.91 million ORC are currently deposited.
