Bit2Me sets up unit to support crypto tracing and seizures

Spain’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Bit2Me, has established a specialized unit called Bit2Shield to help judicial and investigative authorities trace and seize crypto assets, CoinDesk reported. Bit2Shield supports the tracing and seizure of crypto tied to crime, cold-wallet custody and sales, and also provides fraud investigations, fund-origin verification, and training for police, judges, and banks. Bit2Me previously handled seized cryptocurrencies worth €1.5 million ($1.6 million) for Interpol, Europol, and Spanish police in 2025. It used Chainalysis to track the assets, converted them into euros, and delivered the proceeds to authorities, according to CoinDesk.
