Bithumb Holdings, the holding company of South Korean crypto exchange Bithumb, has changed its leadership, News1 reported. According to industry sources on Sept. 8, Bithumb Holdings recently held a board meeting and appointed former Bithumb head of external cooperation Kim Ki-beom as its new CEO. Bithumb Holdings is the largest shareholder in Bithumb, with a 73% stake. Following the reshuffle, Lee Jae-won, who had been serving as CEO of both Bithumb and Bithumb Holdings, stepped down as head of the holding company to focus on managing Bithumb. Kim will split responsibilities by overseeing internal and external communications and compliance management at the holding-company level.
