Two suspects accused of killing four people, including members of a family in Mexico, allegedly targeted the victims after concluding a cold wallet held millions of dollars worth of BTC, Cointelegraph reported, citing local media. One of the suspects was said to have known one of the victims through business dealings, which allowed the suspect to enter the home.
Prosecutors charged the two suspects with killing a rock band keyboardist, the keyboardist’s pregnant wife, daughter and an employee. A court is scheduled to hold a hearing on Sept. 9 to determine whether there is sufficient evidence to continue criminal proceedings. If convicted, the suspects could face 25 to 70 years in prison on each murder charge.
