Bitcoin accounted for more than 42% of cryptocurrencies bought by repeat users on European crypto trading platform Paybis, exceeding the combined share of Ethereum and stablecoins, according to crypto media outlet Finbold, citing data obtained from Paybis. An analysis of Paybis retail investor trading data from August 2023 through August 2026 showed BTC made up 42.21% of first transactions and 42.67% of second transactions. ETH accounted for 10.39% and 10.82%, respectively, while stablecoins fell from 15.29% to 11.83%. In second transactions, the combined share of ETH and stablecoins stood at 22.65%, or about half of BTC's share. Paybis analyzed 795,141 users who returned after an initial purchase, and around 70% of them, or 557,727 users, made between two and five total transactions. Unlike major crypto exchanges such as Binance and Coinbase, Paybis is focused on crypto on/off-ramp services that let users buy and sell digital assets with fiat currencies.
