South Korea’s ruling Democratic Party has identified the Framework Act on Digital Assets as one of the top legislative priorities for the second half of the term at the National Policy Committee, Digital Asset reported. In an interview with Seoul Shinmun on Sept. 11, Democratic Party lawmaker Park Sang-hyuk, the ruling party’s secretary on the National Assembly’s Political Affairs Committee, said the panel’s top priorities for the second half include the special act on mega-special zones and the Framework Act on Digital Assets. Park added the digital asset bill is aimed at advancing the capital market and creating a virtuous cycle, while the mega-special zones bill could serve as a driver of balanced regional growth and locally led development.
