Hunter Biden burns $3.6M worth of LAPTOP tokens

Hunter Biden, the son of former U.S. President Joe Biden, burned 10 million LAPTOP tokens worth about $3.56 million around three hours ago, equivalent to 1% of the total supply, according to on-chain analyst EmberCN. The burn came after a condition Biden had set for the meme coin LAPTOP, which he posted about, that the tokens would be burned if both Eric Trump and digital artist Beeple publicly mentioned the token. With both having recently mentioned LAPTOP, the condition was met and the burn was carried out.
