Solana expands max transaction size by more than 3x

Solana applied a mainnet upgrade at 1:00 a.m. UTC on Sept. 15 that increased the maximum transaction size to 4,096 bytes from 1,232 bytes, Cointelegraph reported. The change allows more complex operations, such as zero-knowledge proofs and multisignature functions, to be handled in a single transaction. Compatibility with existing transactions remains intact, but protocols seeking to use the expanded capacity must update to the newly introduced v1 transaction format.
