Altcoin market cap rises 21% in a month but still trails BTC gains

Altcoin market capitalization has risen 21% over the past month, but altcoins’ share of the total crypto market has fallen 0.9 percentage points over the past 90 days, according to on-chain data analytics firm Glassnode.
Funds have flowed into the broader altcoin market alongside Bitcoin’s recovery, but BTC’s market capitalization appears to have grown faster, leaving altcoins with a smaller share of the overall market. Market participants are watching the U.S. Senate’s procedural vote on the CLARITY bill on Sept. 15 and the Federal Reserve’s rate decision on Sept. 16 as key variables that could determine whether capital rotates into altcoins. ETH/BTC, altcoin market share, and spot Bitcoin ETF fund flows are also seen as key indicators for whether the market recovery broadens.
