Celsius estate sues BitMEX for $495M, seeks return of 6,360 BTC

The bankruptcy estate of failed crypto lender Celsius has filed a roughly $495 million lawsuit against BitMEX, alleging the exchange seized 6,360 BTC through market manipulation and improper liquidations during Bitcoin’s sharp decline in March 2020, CryptoSlate reported. The suit was filed ahead of BitMEX’s planned Sept. 23 shutdown of exchange operations.
