Hong Kong targets early next year to pass crypto trading, custody licensing bill

Hong Kong is moving to introduce a new licensing regime covering virtual asset trading, custody and related activities, BlockBeats reported. Wu Jiezhuang, a member of Hong Kong’s Legislative Council representing the Election Committee, said at the Global Blockchain Summit that the relevant rules are scheduled to be submitted to the legislature in the second half of this year and are targeted for passage in the second half of this year or early next year.
