Quebec regulator warns investors over unregistered Pump.fun operations

Quebec’s financial regulator, the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), has designated Solana-based memecoin issuance platform Pump.fun (PUMP) as an unregistered and unauthorized platform and issued an investor alert, Crypto Briefing reported. Crypto Briefing said the AMF indicated Pump.fun had not obtained the registration required to solicit investors in Quebec, adding that the move was a warning over unregistered operations rather than a fraud allegation. Access to the site for Quebec users has not been blocked, and wallets have not been frozen. The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) posted the AMF warning on its notice page but did not take separate action.
