Altcoin volume jumps, signaling possible short-term BTC top

Altcoin trading volume in the crypto spot market has risen, pushing total spot volume to around four times that of BTC, the highest level since September 2025, according to Glassnode. Glassnode said this kind of shift by investors into altcoins, which carry higher risk than BTC, has often coincided with the formation of short-term tops in Bitcoin.
