Upbit Indonesia access was restricted for nearly two months, NewsPim reports

Upbit’s Indonesian exchange faced restrictions on website and app access inside Indonesia for nearly two months starting in mid-May under measures taken by local authorities, NewsPim reported. Upbit Indonesia’s web and app services were restricted for users in Indonesia in May following action by local authorities. Dunamu said Upbit Indonesia did not suspend services on its own and that access was restricted under measures by local authorities. Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority, or OJK, is said to have required Upbit entities in South Korea, Thailand and Singapore to separate their digital infrastructure during a follow-up audit.
