Technological validation for STO projects

AIITONE’s security token offering (STO) PoC platform serves to conceptually validate technological aspects before the implementation of specific projects. This solution validates business concepts by enabling a systematic connection among various entities, including security token issuers, account management institutions (issuance intermediaries), the total supply management institution (the Korea Securities Depository), investors, securities companies, over-the-counter (OTC) brokerages, and financial companies.

Through this platform, AIITONE’s clients will have the capability to conduct PoC studies for both primary and secondary markets. Businesses with an interest in security token operations can test in advance the entire lifecycle of an STO. This encompasses activities such as security token assessment, subscription, allocation, issuance, distribution, and eventual burn. Assessing technical requirements prior to embarking on a security token project is expected to not only save time but also mitigate risks.

Versatile support for industry players

According to an AIITONE official, the firm’s STO PoC platform is highly effective, considering it offers a wide range of support, spanning from security token product planning to networking assistance for platform and infrastructure development. The official also expressed their expectations that the platform’s versatility is poised to attract many securities and financial companies as potential customers.

Meanwhile, AIITONE aims to offer a comprehensive STO solution encompassing a range of features, such as STO PoC consulting, industry trend assessment, and risk management capabilities.

This equity-based investment demonstrates a growing interest in not only the project’s token but also the team behind it.Manta Network aims to leverage zero-knowledge (ZK) technology to address the scalability challenges and privacy concerns prevalent on the Ethereum network. By harnessing zero-knowledge proofs, Manta enables users to verify the authenticity of information without disclosing the underlying data. This approach provides individuals with complete control over their identities while mitigating the risks of surveillance. Consequently, Manta Network is seeking to attract users who have reservations about utilizing DeFi protocols due to the transparent nature of transactions on public blockchain networks. At the recent EthCC event held in Paris, the project unveiled the testnet for its Layer 2 network, known as Manta Pacific. This testnet operates in an environment with low gas fees, fostering cost-effective transactions for users. Manta Pacific is designed to complement the existing Layer 1 solution, Manta Atlantic, which focuses on achieving compliant on-chain privacy.VC supportLuke Pearson, an investor at Polychain Capital, expressed his enthusiasm for Manta Network’s expansion within the Ethereum ecosystem and confirmed Polychain’s continued support through this Series A funding round. The team is enthusiastic about the opportunities this collaboration will bring.Industry partnershipsManta Network has already witnessed substantial demand for its offerings, with partnerships with projects such as Arbitrum and Linea resulting in the creation of over 300,000 zero-knowledge soulbound tokens. These tokens enable the verification of on-chain identities without compromising data confidentiality. Additionally, the native Manta Wallet has garnered more than 200,000 installations, and innovative features like email-based notifications have contributed to a collective user base exceeding 1.5 million users.Looking ahead, the newly launched testnet with its plug-and-play functionality is expected to streamline the development process for Manta Network’s ecosystem. Developers will be able to allocate their time and resources more efficiently toward building their core products, driving innovation within the zero-knowledge space. The successful funding round and the launch of the Layer 2 testnet mark significant milestones for Manta Network and p0x Labs. With continued support from prominent investors, Manta Network appears to be setting itself up to unlock the true potential of zero-knowledge technology and drive adoption across various industries.

DMM Crypto shutters Seamoon Protocol

DMM Crypto, the crypto exchange, blockchain gaming and NFT arm of Japanese e-commerce and internet firm DMM, has taken the decision to shut down the Seamoon Protocol. Economic zone concept projectTaking to X on Nov. 15, the project outlined that it has decided to cancel the economic zone concept project, Seamoon Protocol. The project added:”We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the business operators who have provided us with so much support thus far, as well as to all those who have placed their hopes in this project and shown us their kind support, and we would like to offer our heartfelt apologies.” The move suggests a sudden change in the fortunes of the project. As recently as last August, DMM Group had announced a collaboration with Progmat, a distributed ledger technology (DLT) platform for tokenization and stablecoins, with a view towards looking into the issuance of a stablecoin. The stablecoin was intended to act as a reserve currency, providing backing for Seamoon Protocol’s treasury pool while also acting as a price stabilization mechanism. At the time, DMM Crypto CEO Nagato Kasaki had said that the Seamoon Protocol had been launched in order to create a space “where a global community could experience DMM’s cultural universe and co-create new experiences together.” Notwithstanding that goal, no new services are planned to replace the Seamoon Protocol.Photo by Shubham Dhage on UnsplashLaunched in 2023, Seamoon Protocol ran on the DM2 Verse, a layer-2 network associated with the Oasys blockchain. DM2 Verse was designed to act as a community hub for the Seamoon Protocol, hosting NFT drops, games, tournaments and collaborations. Activity on Seamoon was powered by its own native SMP token. Changing business environmentNorbert Gehrke, a commentator on the Japanese fintech sector, outlined in a Medium blog post that Seamoon was abruptly terminated “due to recent rapid changes in the business environment that have created challenges for the project’s sustainability.” The company didn’t provide detail on the nature of the challenges encountered which impacted on the sustainability of the project. With the shutdown, issuance of the SMP token will be discontinued. Furthermore, new service applications for the Seamoon Protocol platform have been suspended. It’s unclear what will now happen with existing services which have been built on the platform. The company has suggested that this matter is under discussion.  One exception is the Kanpani Girls RE:BLOOM project, a Web3 game that was the first of five games that had been envisaged for the protocol. The company has confirmed that this project will be terminated.  In-game notices will be provided at a later stage to provide users with advice regarding refunds and compensation for game items. The game will be wound down by the end of January. Once decisions have been made relative to other services and projects, the company will make announcements on the social media channels of those affected services. DMM Crypto received investment from Neoclassic Capital last month, with a view towards pursuing a global expansion strategy.
