Revolutionizing user experience

The collaboration, announced via a blog post published by BingX on Monday, aims to revolutionize the crypto trading experience by combining BingX’s robust platform with AstraBit’s cutting-edge technology.

AstraBit empowers BingX users with total control over risk and exposure in their trades through automated trading strategies powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning. Users can leverage AstraBit’s technology to customize and hyper-personalize their trading strategies, maximizing their trading potential in the dynamic crypto market. AstraBit-powered bots follow preset instructions, but users have the flexibility to adjust parameters such as stop loss and take profit at any time, even in the middle of a trade.

Security measures

To ensure the highest level of security, AstraBit operates 24/7, utilizing two-factor authentication (2FA) and implementing advanced security measures such as machine learning intrusion detection systems and anti-ransomware software. Importantly, AstraBit cannot withdraw funds from users’ wallets, providing an additional layer of protection.

Elvisco Carrington, PR and Communications Director at BingX, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating: “The integration with AstraBit helps revolutionize the crypto trading experience. By combining BingX’s robust platform with AstraBit’s cutting-edge technology, we are empowering our users to maximize their trading potential and achieve greater success in the dynamic crypto market. This partnership aligns perfectly with our commitment to delivering excellence and driving the industry forward.”

MT5 integration

In addition to the collaboration with AstraBit, BingX made headlines earlier this year by announcing its direct integration with MetaTrader 5 (MT5), making it one of the first crypto platforms to connect with the world’s most popular trading platform. MT5 offers advanced features, including a wide range of technical indicators, depth of market (DOM) functionality, and support for trading on multiple exchanges. It is known for its versatility, supporting various asset classes, including stocks and futures.

The integration with MT5 allows BingX users to activate their BingX MT5 accounts and trade futures directly from MT5’s user-friendly interface. This seamless connection optimizes the trading process, leveraging cutting-edge innovations from the world of traditional finance. Users can expect a safe and stable trading experience on cryptocurrencies like BTC and ETH, accompanied by advanced analysis tools for quantitative trading and customized functions.

By tapping into the MT5 platform, BingX not only enhances the trading experience for its existing user base but also opens the door for forex traders on MT5 to easily enter the world of cryptocurrencies. This integration provides a smooth transition for forex traders, allowing them to explore the crypto market with ease.

The partnership with AstraBit and the integration with MT5 demonstrate BingX's efforts in driving the business forward. Those efforts are further evidenced by a decision taken by the firm earlier this month to expand outside of its Southeast Asia base market into the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Singaporean VC Pledges Funding for Web3 Accelerator

Singaporean VC Pledges Funding for Web3 AcceleratorSingaporean crypto investment venture capital firm, Foresight Ventures, has committed to doubling down on funding a Web3 Accelerator.Back in November, the firm launched Foresight X, a Web3-focused incubator program. At the time, it committed to allocating $10 million to be divided between three categories of Web3-centric projects and collaborations. Fast forward six months and the firm is now committing to stump up an additional $10 million in funding for the project.Categories include ecosystem projects, research grants, and an eight-week incubator program which was initially offered to thirty early-stage projects. In that initial funding round, start-ups were being supported with funding of $50,000, up to a maximum of $200,000.Photo by Shubham Dhage on UnsplashSecond phaseThe project is now entering its second phase, accepting applications once again from a new round of start-up applicants. In this instance, the focus will move towards Web3 projects with an emphasis on artificial intelligence (AI), zero-knowledge cryptography, bitcoin, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), machine learning, and liquid staking derivative products. With second-round funding, each selected project will be funded to the tune of $200,000 rather than the funding range of $50,000 to $200,000 employed on the first phase. Additionally, up to three mentors will be assigned to each successful applicant project. On top of that, one fund partner from Foresight Ventures will be assigned to each start-up in order to provide them with a steer towards growth and development. The program will culminate with a Demo Day, facilitating each project to showcase their service or product offering.Bitget partnershipFounded in 2020, Foresight Ventures has progressed in a short space of time, from having $80 million assets under management (AUM) to an AUM of $400 million today. The venture capital outfit is led by seasoned venture professionals with backgrounds in companies like Google, Bitmain and Sequoia Capital.Among its leading investments is SEI, the layer one blockchain project that is optimized for transaction speed and throughput. In April, the company committed $50 million towards SEIs $120 million ecosystem fund. In January, it invested $15 million in Singapore-based digital asset infrastructure and market making firm, CyberX.Last month the firm partnered with crypto derivatives trading platform Bitget in contributing towards its Asia-focused Web3 fund. Focused on funding outstanding Web3 projects in the region, Bitget has put together a $100 million fund. Foresight Ventures joined Dragonfly Capital, SevenX Ventures, DAO Maker and ABCDE Capital in expressing interest in investing in the fund, ultimately investing and partnering with Biget on the initiative. The firm has come a long way in a short space of time, signaling its intent in March 2022 when it committed to investing up to $200 million in Web3 start-ups and blockchain projects over the course of three years. Socket Protocol Raises $5M in Strategic Partnership

Socket Protocol Raises $5M in Strategic PartnershipSocket Protocol, an interoperability protocol founded by Indian duo Rishabh Khurana and Vaibhav Chellani, has raised $5 million with the strategic investment coming from Coinbase Ventures and Framework Ventures.Despite the ongoing bear market, cross-chain protocols like Socket have continued to attract substantial investment, underlining the growing belief in a future where different blockchains seamlessly connect.Photo by Towfiqu barbhuiya on UnsplashMore than just fundingSocket Protocol, designed to enhance communication between various blockchains, secured this funding to further its collaboration with Coinbase. The firm articulated the nature of the funding and that collaboration on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday. The partnership aims to create bridging opportunities for developers and users of Coinbase Wallet and Base, Coinbase’s recently launched layer-2 network built on Ethereum. Socket explained that there is already evidence of that collaboration, borne out by a bridging feature that has already been built into Coinbase Wallet, and powered by Socket Protocol. In relation to the newly launched Base network, the project stated: “We are also helping developers and apps expand to Base with a seamless onboarding experience. Rainbow Wallet, Layer3, Bungee, Zapper & more apps leverage Socket to get their users onboarded to Base already!”As the cryptocurrency ecosystem witnesses the emergence of new layer-2 networks or “rollups” and the continuous expansion of layer-1 blockchains, Socket Protocol positions itself as a critical player in connecting these fragmented ecosystems.Seamless cross-network communicationThe protocol’s primary goal is to facilitate communication between different blockchains, allowing them to interact seamlessly. By offering a bridge for assets, Socket Protocol simplifies cross-network transactions, effectively making the experience akin to operating on a single unified blockchain.Socket boasts that since the launch of the project, it has facilitated over 2.5 million cross-channel transactions, accounting for $3.5 billion in value transfer, while claiming that this is just the starting point, with the project aspiring to grow past that milestone going forward. The recent fundraising highlights the increasing interest in interoperability solutions like LayerZero, as investors recognize the significance of bridging for the future of blockchain technology. Notably, inter-bank messaging system Swift revealed experiments involving the transfer of tokenized value across various private and public blockchains, with Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol playing a pivotal role in these experiments.Socket Co-Founder Chellani emphasized the importance of scalable solutions for the future. He noted that “rollup-to-rollup communication is really important” for achieving scalability, aligning the scaling future with the concept of a multi-chain or cross-chain future. “I think the scaling future, and the multi- or cross-chain future are the same thing,” he added. This investment in Socket Protocol, coming at a time of market uncertainty within the crypto space, reflects the growing confidence in the potential of blockchain interoperability to unlock new possibilities and create a more interconnected blockchain landscape.

TRYB Emerges as Turkish Alternative to Dollar-Pegged Stablecoins

TRYB Emerges as Turkish Alternative to Dollar-Pegged StablecoinsIn a market typically dominated by dollar-backed stablecoins like Tether (USDT) and USD Coin (USDC), a new player has emerged in Turkey to operate alongside those dominant stablecoins.According to a report by CoinDesk on Friday, BiLira’s TRYB stablecoin, pegged to the Turkish lira (TRY), has rapidly climbed the ranks to become the world’s second-largest non-US dollar-pegged stablecoin. It currently trails Tether’s euro-pegged EURt, which according to Coingecko data, currently holds a market cap of $221 million. In just three weeks, TRYB has skyrocketed, quadrupling its market cap to $136.10 million.Photo by Oleksandr P on PexelsMarket cap volatilityHowever, TRYB's market cap had fallen off a cliff on Friday, dropping from $135 million earlier in the day to $40 million. TRYB, an Ethereum-based stablecoin, offers a unique proposition in that it is pegged to the Turkish lira, allowing users to exchange 1 TRYB for 1 TRY. The stablecoin offering, which is administered by Istanbul-based BiLira, is underpinned by 100% fiat reserves held in Turkish banks. The Turkish lira has earned its reputation as one of the most volatile fiat currencies globally, often experiencing fluctuations against the US dollar. Over the course of the last five years, the currency has lost 94% of its value when benchmarked against the performance of the US dollar. In response to this volatility, TRYB has found its purpose as a medium of exchange. It can act as a gateway to transition user’s Turkish lira into cryptocurrencies and vice versa. This trend aligns with the global use of stablecoins as the foundation of crypto trading pairs, providing traders with a stable asset while sidestepping fiat currency’s unpredictability.Exiting the liraThe US Federal Reserve acknowledged the significance of stablecoins in December 2022, highlighting their role in facilitating crypto trades, serving as collateral for crypto loans, and minimizing inefficiencies tied to fiat-to-crypto conversions. In fact, stablecoins account for over 80% of the trading volume on centralized exchanges, attesting to their pivotal role in the crypto ecosystem. It’s likely that the Lira-pegged stablecoin will act as a means to access other cryptocurrencies and US dollar-pegged stablecoins like USDT and USDC, rather than be considered as a rival or replacement. That’s by virtue of the ongoing difficulties of the Turkish sovereign currency which it tracks. So long as the lira continues to erode in terms of buying power, it’s likely that citizens will be looking for avenues to escape from that erosion of value.Increased interest in cryptoGiven this monetary backdrop in Turkey, it shouldn’t surprise anyone to learn that interest in crypto is on the rise. In a recent report published by Seychelles-based cryptocurrency exchange KuCoin earlier this week, a significant increase in the number of crypto investors in Turkey over the course of the past eighteen months has been identified. The report found that 52% of the adult Turkish population have participated in crypto-related investments. Over the past 18 months, the number of Turkish adults embracing crypto has risen to that 52% level from 40%.
