Integration with Klaytn

The beta version of Allbit.com was launched in March, with a trading view chart displaying real-time prices of cryptocurrencies based on trades that are made on KLAYswap, a major decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol launched by Ozys. KLAYswap is built on Korean tech juggernaut Kakao’s open-source public blockchain called Klaytn.

Newest features

“Users of KLAYSwap and KLAYSTATION can now easily check the status of their on-chain activities without having to track them separately,” explained Ozys CEO Roi Choi.

The “My Portfolio” feature on the recently updated platform gives users a convenient way to monitor their asset balances, the liquidity on KLAYswap, and the staking status of KLAYSTATION, a staking tool based on the Klaytn network. For better risk management, the “Net Asset Trend” graphically displays daily changes in the user’s net asset value. Additionally, the “PNL (ROI) Dashboard” provides insights into profit and loss by showing real-time and periodic performance data. Whether tokens are held in a personal wallet or deposited into a particular service, the dashboard tracks token price movements to present users with an up-to-date view of their investment returns.

Allbit.com customers can also keep up with activities on various wallets and market trends through their personalized watchlists and share their portfolios with others.

Choi added that Ozys plans to add more functions to Allbit.com in the future to enhance the user experience and optimize convenience.

Boyaa Interactive Greenlights $5 Million Investment in Bitcoin and Ether

Boyaa Interactive Greenlights $5 Million Investment in Bitcoin and EtherBoyaa Interactive International Limited, a Hong Kong-based investment holding company with a track record in developing online chess, card, and puzzle games, has made a strategic move with a proposed investment in digital assets. The company’s board of directors has recently given the green light for the allocation of a substantial budget amounting to $5 million for the purpose of acquiring cryptocurrencies.Photo by Traxer on UnsplashWeb3 positioningThe Chinese company, incorporated in the Cayman Islands, announced the move as Boyaa Interactive seeks to position itself for a dynamic shift into the realm of Web3.While the exact allocation breakdown was not detailed in the disclosure, the company outlined that its primary focus would be on procuring established cryptocurrencies, specifically Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH). Boyaa Interactive intends to execute these purchases through regulated and licensed trading platforms within the upcoming year.In a letter addressed to its shareholders and potential investors, the company emphasized the strategic nature of this decision:“The purchases of cryptocurrencies are for the consideration of the Group’s future business layout into the field of Web3. The Board is of the view that the purchases of cryptocurrencies (including mainly Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH)) by the Group are in the interests of the Company and its shareholders as a whole.”A challenging recent historyThe move towards cryptocurrencies is a significant pivot for Boyaa Interactive, a company that has navigated a series of challenges in recent years. In 2018, the company’s Chairman and CEO, Zhang Wei, faced legal troubles and was sentenced to 12 months in prison for bribery, which led to his resignation from all executive and management positions.Subsequent restructuring saw Dai Zhikang stepping in as the new Chairman of the board, while Tao Ying assumed the role of an Executive Director and Chairman of the Nomination Committee.Financially, Boyaa Interactive experienced a tough period marked by revenue contraction. The company reported revenue declines over the course of 2018, largely attributed to a governmental crackdown on online poker applications and the discontinuation of poker as a recognized competitive sport. Regulatory risks stemming from the Chinese government’s stance on Texas Hold’em poker games resulted in a substantial falloff in revenue by comparison with past performance.Funds seizureThese challenges cascaded into the following year, when the company encountered a substantial freeze on its funds. In 2019, a Chinese court ordered the freezing of RMB 635 million (approximately $88.6 million) belonging to Boyaa Interactive, following the legal actions against Zhang Wei and his associated entities. One of the company’s subsidiaries, Boyaa Shenzhen, was found guilty of offering bribes. The company responded by clarifying that the frozen funds could potentially be confiscated if linked to Zhang’s misconduct. However, Boyaa Interactive also stressed that it had not been directly implicated in the case, thus mitigating the legal risks to the broader organization.Amidst these adversities, Boyaa Interactive’s decision to invest in cryptocurrencies demonstrates its openness to adapting to changing technological landscapes and exploring new opportunities in Web3.

USDT stablecoin receives full regulatory approval in Abu Dhabi

The Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA), a regulatory body within the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) economic free zone and financial center in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has fully approved USD₮, the world’s leading U.S. dollar stablecoin by market cap, as an accepted virtual asset (AVA).Photo by DrawKit Illustrations on UnsplashPre-approved USDT servicesUSDT issuer Tether publicized details of the approval via a statement published to its website on Dec. 10. The company outlined that the approval means that “Authorised Persons” operating and licensed by the FSRA can offer pre-approved services related to USDT. The company stated that the approval facilitates the integration of USDT into regulated financial ecosystems in Abu Dhabi while also claiming that the move helps to advance the region’s leadership relative to digital asset innovation. The FSRA has acknowledged acceptance of the leading stablecoin with recognition of its issuance on various blockchains including Ethereum, Solana and Avalanche. Validating the importance of stablecoins With the ADGM regulator now fully accepting and recognizing the stablecoin, Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said that the move goes beyond just “validating the importance of stablecoins as critical tools for modern finance,” as he believes it opens the door for collaboration and growth across the Middle East. Stablecoins are increasingly playing a significant role in bridging the gap between traditional finance (TradFi) and the Web3 sector. In October, crypto asset fund manager Bitwise identified a number of key insights that point to the ongoing development and use of stablecoins.  It outlined that the top five stablecoin projects are currently holding more U.S. Treasury bonds than some G20 countries. Tether recorded profits last year that surpassed those of BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager. Bitwise identified that leading payments firms like Visa are adopting stablecoins and incorporating them into their platforms for the purpose of effecting transactions. A month prior to that, Wall Street investment bank Bernstein highlighted the fact that stablecoins are playing an increasingly important role relative to the global financial system as a whole.  It’s thought that this latest development in Abu Dhabi may act as a further driver of USDT’s market cap. At the time of writing, the stablecoin asset had a market cap in excess of $140 billion. Its inclusion as an AVA reinforces the crypto asset’s position as the most used stablecoin within the industry. AE Coin licensing In a further boost for further roll-out of stablecoins in the Middle East, the Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) awarded the final license to fully approve AE Coin, a UAE dirham-denominated stablecoin. Commenting on the development, AE Coin General Manager Ramez Rafeek said, "AE Coin harnesses the speed and efficiency of blockchain technology, offering instant, secure, and cost-effective transactions. It simplifies transfers, making them faster and more seamless." In an effort to bring about greater adoption of the stablecoin, the AE Coin project intends to engage in partnerships with payment gateways, financial institutions and technology providers going forward. Tether also has plans to launch a dirham-backed stablecoin, having recently partnered with UAE-based entities to bring that about.
