Strategy’s Bitcoin purchases could support the market in the short term, but they are not enough to change the long-term trend, Greeks.live analyst Adam said on X. He reproduced the English phrase "BTC" and said that, given the current size of the BTC market, it is difficult for any single player to dictate direction and the path ahead is also hard to predict. Adam added that Strategy’s buying capacity could increase if it secures additional gains from its BTC holdings. Over the longer term, however, he said continued net outflows from ETFs make it difficult for BTC to hold steadily above $80,000. He also pointed to macroeconomic pressures, saying hawkish remarks from the Federal Reserve and escalating U.S.-Iran tensions are adding strain to already weakened investor sentiment. With short-term volatility falling quickly, Adam said it is hard to conclude that one strong rally alone marks a shift into a bull market.

Tron founder Justin Sun, asked about the size of his personal fortune, emphasized that what matters in the crypto industry is not individual wealth but data that can be directly verified on-chain. Using the English phrase "one-to-one," Sun added that a core difference between crypto and traditional finance is that blockchain lets users verify transaction records directly instead of trusting a specific individual. Sun said he would speak only about what can be verified and that the figures were current as of today. Sun added that HTX’s proof of reserves has been maintained for years, is disclosed regularly, and can be verified by third parties. User assets are always fully backed on a "one-to-one" basis, and all transactions take place on-chain, Sun said. He also said more than $94 billion in USDT is in circulation on the Tron network and that his principle since entering the industry has been to build on the internet so users can deposit and withdraw instantly.

A Tiger Research analysis found that the market for perpetual futures tied to South Korean stocks is expanding rapidly on overseas crypto exchanges. According to Tiger Research, cumulative trading volume in the sector reached about 307 trillion won from February through August this year. August alone saw 166 trillion won in trading, about four times the 42 trillion won recorded by South Korea’s five largest crypto exchanges. The firm added that as the offshore derivatives market grows, hedging by market makers could also affect domestic spot stock prices. To respond, South Korea’s financial industry needs to establish measures including access to corporate accounts, a legal framework for derivatives, and won-based payment and settlement infrastructure, Tiger Research said.

The core of the program is to let Vietnamese companies tokenize assets they hold and raise capital from global investors.

South Korean retail appetite for risk assets is reviving as the crypto market recovers, Bloomberg reported, and the so-called kimchi premium in Bitcoin has also reappeared. Bloomberg said BTC on South Korea’s largest exchange, Upbit, was trading at about a 1% premium in won terms to Binance’s dollar-denominated price. Domestic BTC prices have maintained a premium over offshore markets for the past week, the longest such stretch since early May, according to the report. Bloomberg explained the kimchi premium measures the gap between Bitcoin prices in South Korea and global markets and is used as one indicator of retail investor sentiment in Asia. BTC Markets analyst Rachael Lucas added that South Korean retail investors tend to buy aggressively when risk appetite strengthens. Lucas said past shifts in South Korea from BTC trading at a discount to offshore exchanges to a premium were followed by stronger returns in the following weeks.

South Korea’s Financial Services Commission received failing-level marks in a government performance review for its digital asset policy, Edaily reported. According to National Assembly member Park Min-kyu of the Democratic Party, citing a National Assembly audit document titled the "2025 self-evaluation result report" on major policy areas submitted by the FSC, the agency’s tasks of preparing a second-phase virtual asset law and establishing a regulatory framework for stablecoins were rated "somewhat insufficient" and "insufficient," respectively. Park said the poor marks stemmed from delays in legislating the Framework Act on Digital Assets. Concerns are rising as taxation is being pushed ahead at speed even though the underlying basic law has yet to be put in place.
