July 12, 2026, 10:11 PM
Coinbase is once again urging the passage of the CLARITY Act, according to Bitcoin.com. Faryar Shirzad, the company's Chief Policy Officer (CFO), emphasized that the current lack of crypto regulations makes the financial system vulnerable. He argued that the CLARITY Act would require cryptocurrency platforms to comply with stricter security standards, thus resolving regulatory uncertainty. Previously, U.S. Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren, a notable crypto critic, had suggested the bill could become a channel for sanctions evasion.
