Ethereum Institutional completes first ecosystem funding round led by BitMine, others

Ethereum Institutional, an independent nonprofit focused on institutional adoption of Ethereum, said it has completed its first ecosystem funding round aimed at expanding institutional uptake of ETH. More than 100 individuals and crypto institutions took part in the round, including BitMine, SharpLink, Ethereum co-founders Joseph Lubin and Mihai Alisie. The investment size was not disclosed. Ethereum Institutional said it plans to expand cooperation with banks, asset managers, custodians, financial infrastructure firms, fintech companies and sovereign wealth funds, while stepping up support for tokenization, stablecoins, market infrastructure and on-chain payments.
