Ledger CEO says perfect security does not exist

Ledger CEO Pascal Gauthier said perfect security does not exist, according to U.Today. He said the crypto industry should stop addressing security issues by placing greater responsibility on users, adding that self-custody can only remain limited if ordinary users are expected to understand every possible technical failure. Gauthier also stressed that hardware wallet makers should design systems that remain safe even when users make mistakes, and that users should not automatically trust manufacturers’ claims about product security.
