Australia revokes GetCoins registration over crypto investment scam misuse

Australia’s financial intelligence agency AUSTRAC has revoked the registration of crypto service provider GetCoins after finding it had been misused in organized cryptocurrency investment scams, CryptoSlate reported. AUSTRAC said the findings came from a joint probe with the National Anti-Scam Centre that was launched following customer complaints. The agency said it canceled GetCoins’ registration on June 4, and a deregistered firm can no longer provide related services.
