Bitwise seeks to add staking to spot ETH ETF

Bitwise has filed an amended S-1 registration statement with the U.S. SEC to add staking to its spot Ethereum ETF, ETHW, NewsBTC reported. The amendment includes details on how the fund would stake the ETH it holds, validator operations, the accounting treatment for staking rewards, and related risks including slashing. If staking is approved, the ETF could earn additional rewards using its ETH holdings.
