CoinMarketCap altcoin season index rises 9 points to 51

CoinMarketCap’s Altcoin Season Index rose nine points from yesterday to 51. The index is calculated by comparing the price performance of Bitcoin with that of the top 100 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization, excluding stablecoins and wrapped coins. A reading is considered altcoin season when 75% of the top 100 coins outperform Bitcoin over the past 90 days, while the opposite is considered Bitcoin season. The closer the index is to 100, the more it indicates altcoin season.
