U.S. senator says CLARITY Act vote failure was no surprise

The failure of a vote on the CLARITY Act was not surprising, U.S. Republican Sen. John Kennedy said, according to Eleanor Terrett, host of the U.S. podcast Crypto In America. Kennedy added he did not think the bill was completely dead, but said the issue may have to wait until the end-of-term congressional session. U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz also invoked the film 'The Princess Bride,' saying there is a big difference between dead and mostly dead and expressing hope the CLARITY Act would come back. Cruz also stressed Democrats were using political tactics and pushing cryptocurrency activity and jobs overseas.
