Kaia to burn 4.9M KAIA, add JPYC to contribution rewards

The Kaia DLT Foundation said on Oct. 14 it will burn 4.9 million KAIA, with 2,463,579 tokens set to be burned on Oct. 21 and the remaining 2,441,567 scheduled for next month. Kaia also said it will add the yen-denominated stablecoin JPYC to the eligible assets for its Contribution Reward program starting Oct. 21. Under the program, users who deposit stablecoins into designated protocols and stake KAIA in the same wallet receive KAIA rewards based on their level of network contribution. Until now, only Tether (USDT) had been eligible, but JPYC deposits will also be reflected in reward calculations going forward.
