Web3 & Enterprise·November 25, 2023, 3:42 AM

BingX, the Singapore-headquartered cryptocurrency exchange platform, has taken the decision to rebrand the business.

Improving the trading experience

The platform, originally known for its role in guiding newcomers into the crypto space through copy trading, claims that the move is designed to elevate the trading experience for users by prioritizing simplicity, efficiency and security.

This transformation includes a substantial overhaul of BingX’s visual identity, highlighted by a streamlined logo that caters to the practical needs of traders. The changes extend to the platform’s color palette and typography on digital platforms, all aimed at making the trading process more intuitive and user-friendly.

Broadening market appeal

While initially recognized for its focus on crypto beginners, BingX is now broadening its horizons. The platform introduces advanced features catering to a diverse range of crypto enthusiasts, from novices to seasoned traders. This expansion underscores BingX’s adaptive approach to the dynamic cryptocurrency market, addressing the evolving needs of its user base.

Megan Nyvold, Head of Branding at BingX, outlined that the rebranding aligns with the company’s enduring vision of democratizing crypto trading globally, emphasizing diversity and creating professional, user-centric trading environments.

From ‘Trading Made Easy‘ to ‘Empowering Traders’

In tandem with the visual changes, BingX has also unveiled a new tagline, transitioning from “Trading Made Easy” to “Empowering Traders.” This shift emphasizes the company’s commitment to supporting traders at all levels, ensuring access to reliable and transparent services.

In a blog post published by the company on Thursday, Nyvold stated:

”Over the past five years, BingX’s vision to build a gateway for the next billion crypto users has been unwavering. As part of this evolution, we have refined our core values with a renewed emphasis on promoting diversity. As we introduce our refreshed brand identity, we reaffirm our assurance of empowering our users, focusing on a more professional and user-centric trading environment that aligns with our vision for collective success.”

This latest move is one of a number of ongoing efforts BingX has made this year to further develop the business. In July, the company introduced AstraBit to the platform, an automated algorithmic trading and portfolio management tool, to enhance and automate the crypto trading experience for its platform users.

The following month, it introduced a Multiple Deposit Addresses feature to enable greater flexibility and convenience for service users. September brought a collaboration with WunderTrading, adding the use of its automated trading bots to BingX platform users. Earlier this year, the company had integrated crypto portfolio tracker CoinTracking with the platform, in an effort to allow service users to generate reports for tax purposes with ease.

BingX was founded in Singapore in 2018 by Josh Lu. The platform claims to have five million service users.

Turkish lira becomes third largest fiat currency in crypto trading

The Turkish Lira (TRY) has become the third largest fiat currency by volume in the cryptocurrency market, according to a report by Kaiko. This milestone was reached as TRY's share of the crypto market hit an all-time high of 19% in early June. The increase in volume is attributed to the country's economic challenges, notably its high inflation rate, which has surpassed 70%, making the lira one of the most volatile fiat currencies globally.Photo by Afdhallul Ziqri on UnsplashFactors influencing the increaseThe shift in the Turkish lira's position in the crypto market is partly due to increased foreign exchange volatility and currency devaluation, common catalysts for cryptocurrency adoption in developing economies. Additionally, geopolitical factors such as a record number of elections and diverging monetary policies have intensified market fluctuations. This environment has favored cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, which reached new highs against the lira in recent months. For instance, Bitcoin escalated to 2.3 million TRY in March from 979,000 TRY in October 2023. The recent adjustments in cryptocurrency trading platforms, particularly Binance's delisting of certain fiat trading pairs due to banking issues, have also increased the dominance of TRY in crypto transactions. This series of events underscores the growing interconnection between traditional and digital finance markets, highlighting the increasing role of cryptocurrencies in regions facing economic instability.

KLEVA to undergo upgrade and migrate to WEMIX3.0 network

KLEVA, a decentralized finance (DeFi) service that until now has been based on the Klaytn blockchain, is set to move to Wemade’s WEMIX3.0 mainnet as a native service and undergo a new upgrade to “KLEVA omni”, according to an official Medium announcement by WEMIX on Tuesday (KST). As a result, KLEVA tokens will be issued on the WEMIX3.0 network instead of Klaytn. Existing tokens will be migrated to WEMIX3.0 as well.Photo by GuerrillaBuzz on UnsplashThe team at KLEVA revealed that it decided to move the service to WEMIX3.0 to gain access to broader inter-network connectivity. The decision also came as a result of security strengthening efforts related to custodial bridge services using the Lock and Mint method. Unveiling KLEVA omniKLEVA omni is an amalgamation of service advancements within the Trans-Chain DeFi protocol, rooted in the WEMIX Foundation's unagi initiative – a new innovative omnichain network and interoperable Web3 gaming platform. This innovative protocol integrates optimized tokenomics tailored for the omnichain ecosystem. By going beyond the limitations of single-chain DeFi and placing an emphasis on token rewards, the value of the Trans-Chain DeFi protocol is centered around the KLEVA token.  At its core, KLEVA omni is differentiated in its ability to process trans-chain transactions. It serves not only as a comprehensive solution for inter-chain yield farming but also as a bridge between service providers and users across boundaries.  Solution to variable yields and interchain risksIn addition, in the current market landscape, variations in deposit yields and loan interest rates exist for the same asset across different chains and services. KLEVA omni addresses this by sharing such information with users, streamlining their research and decision-making processes. This makes it easier for users to optimize their investment portfolios. The protocol will use una Bridge – a non-custodial omnichain bridge under the unagi initiative that mitigates the risks presented by wrapped tokens – to enable secure and efficient trading. It will also support various blockchains like Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, Polygon, Ethereum, BNB and Solana.
