Fire breaks out at new Bitdeer BTC mining facility in Ohio

A fire has broken out at Bitcoin mining firm Bitdeer's new facility in Ohio, causing two of its 26 buildings to collapse, Bitmain founder Jihan Wu announced on X. Wu confirmed that there were no casualties and that senior management has been dispatched to the site for further investigation. He added that the incident could disrupt plans to launch the mining facility in the first quarter of 2026.
